The Idea:
Sell your culinary know-how to others who'd like to be able to whip up something good in the kitchen.
How it Works:
You can specialize in teaching grown ups or kids. If you have particular expertise in a unique style of cuisine or type of food, you might consider capitalizing on that specialty. For example, a former pastry chef could offer classes on creating beautiful desserts while someone from a Chinese family could teach others how her family cooks at home. Other specialties could be healthy foods, cake decorating, Southern cooking, recreating restaurant dishes at home or making kid-friendly foods that children will love to eat.
How Much Can You Make:
Professional cooking teachers make between $15-100 an hour, depending on specialty and the size of the classes.
