Microstock Photographer - Gig Profile

The Idea:

Sell your photography through a microstock agent online.

How it Works:

Microstock companies operate online to provide royalty-free shots for use in websites, presentations or ads. If your photography skills are up to par, you can create photos to list on microphotography sites. Listing photos is generally free, and you can price your photos however you like. Once you get a feel for what people want to buy, you can take shots that are likely to sell and put them in your online portfolio.

How Much Can You Make:

Microstock photography is usually priced fairly low, since customers use microstock sites to avoid the high costs of professional stock photography. A small size photo can net $5-20 per download, with larger, higher-resolution pictures going for up to $200 each. However, you can resell the same photo over and over to different customers and make money forever on just a few creative shots.
