How it Works:
If you know what it takes to get into college, you can pass that knowledge along to others and get paid for it. Some college consultants are essentially researchers who pass along the information about application requirements and financial aid packages to potential students. Others offer a full service of proofreading and giving tips on writing application essays, coaching students for school interviews and contacting schools to try to get the best scholarship offer they can for their client. You can also choose to specialize in things like financial aid or sports recruitment consulting, students with special needs, or on specific programs such as business school applications or study-abroad programs.
How Much Can You Make:
College consultants generally make between $80-200 per hour.
